- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. Responses are due no later than 3:00 p.m. Hawaii standard time 16 December 2011. This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District, requests letters of interest from POTENTIAL 8(a) SMALL BUSINESS PRIME CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS interested in performing work on a potential $49M Multiple Award Task Order Contract for design-build and design-bid-build construction services. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. Responses are to be sent via email to tristin.n.matsuki@usace.army.mil and kent.a.tamai@usace.army.mil no later than 3:00 p.m. Hawaii standard time December 16, 2011. Project Description: The Honolulu District is considering an 8(a) set-aside $49M Multiple Award Task Order Contract for Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build Construction Service for work within the State of Hawaii. The period of performance is expected to be a maximum of 5 years (base ordering period of 2 years and 3 optional 1 year ordering periods). The contractor must be an 8(a) contractor and have design-build and design-bid-build experience and have bonding capability of $1M per task order and a 5M aggregate bonding capability. Task orders are anticipated to be in the $1M to $9M range. Only interested 8(a) PRIME CONTRACTORS should submit: (1) a narrative demonstrating their experience in design-build and design-bid-build in projects in excess of $1M, (2) the bonding capability for a single contract action and aggregate, and (3) which SBA district office the 8(a) firm is serviced by. Narratives shall be no longer than five (5) pages. Email responses are required. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. It is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of potential qualified contractors before determining the method of acquisition. Please note that it is required that your company be registered in the Contractors Central Registration System (CCR), please see www.ccr.gov for additional information. In addition, this sources sought is not to be construed as a commitment by the government, nor will the government pay for any information solicited or delivered. PLEASE NOTE: At this time, we are only interested in responses from prime contractors with similar project experience with the ability of having a bonding capability of $1M per contract action and an aggregate of $5M+.
