- Description
- The Naval Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) PMA-265 intends to exercise a firm fixed price option to General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, Inc. (GDTAP), 326 IBM Road Building 862, Williston, VT 05495-7907, as a modification to Contract N00421-10-C-0024. This effort was originally synopsized under solicitation N00421-09-R-0013, posted 19 February 2009. However, additional F/A-18E/F quantities authorized and appropriated by Congress have lead to an increase in M61A2 20MM Gun System requirement. It is estimated that the Navy will procure an additional twenty eight (28) units via this option. The Government intends to award this modification under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. GDATP is the only known company that possesses the engineering expertise and personnel necessary to perform the efforts associated with this procurement. The estimated award date for this option exercise is 18 January 2012. If a company beleives that it can provide these items and wishes to send in a capability statement to be reviewed for this requirement please contact Adam Caudle prior to the closing date of this synopsis. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Note: Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DoD activity. A determination not to compete this proposed modification based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government is not committed nor obligated to pay for the information provided and no basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of this synopsis.
