Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District, intends to issue a Request for Quote for the Renovation of Drinkwater #2 Pumping Station in Mississippi Count, Missouri. The work consists of the Contractor providing all plant, labor, equipment, supplies, and materials and performing all operations necessary to accomplish the following items. The contractor shall remove all the acoustical tiles and insulation from Drinkwater II Pump Station and replace all tile and insulation with an Armstrong Shasta #2906, or approved equal, Humidity Resistant Acoustical tile. Humidity Resistant Acoustical Tile treatment shall consist of sound controlling units mechanically mounted on an existing suspended ceiling system. The unit size, texture, finish, and color shall be as specified herein. The reversing valves on the two (2) Farval units are leaking grease. The Contractor will remove the two reversing valves and replace the O-rings between the pump and the reversing valve and between the two blocks of the reversing valves. The existing bird screens on the intake and exhaust louvers shall be replaced with insect screen as described herein. The two existing emergency lighting units shall be replaced. The two existing fuel oil transfer pumps on the day tanks shall be removed and replaced. The existing exhaust insulation blankets shall be replaced on both engines. The exhaust silencers (2) shall be cleaned and spray painted as described herein. The estimated value of this project is between $25,000 to $100,000. This will be a 100% small business set aside procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. This RFQ will be issued on or about 21 November 2011. The submission of Quotes will be due on at 2:00 pm CST on 01 December 2011. A copy of this RFQ may be downloaded from the Army Single Face Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Web Site at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi.
