- Description
- NASA Ames Research Center plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the AmesResearch Center (ARC) Protective Services Office Support Services Contract (PSOS). Previous releases regarding the services identified under PSOS were issued under sourcessought NNA11366339R (ARC Operations Protective Services), posted Nov. 30, 2010, andRequest For Information (RFI) Fire Services, posted Feb. 10, 2011. The requirementsidentified under RFI-Fire are now consolidated under NNA12366339R and future inquiriesregarding all security and fire services shall reference NNA 12366339R, ProtectiveServices Office Support Services Contract (PSOS). The ARC Research Protective ServicesOffice Support Services Contract (PSOS) is to provide protective services including:uniformed security operations; infrastructure security; personnel security; internationalvisit coordination; export control; visitor registration/pass processing; employeebadging; dispatch; fire fighting, fire prevention and fire protection engineering;aircraft rescue and fire fighting (ARFF); emergency management; federal law enforcementand law enforcement training. An interested parties list is available. The Governmentdoes not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is atotal small business 8(a) set-aside. ARC intends to award a single Firm FixedPrice/Indefinite Quantity Indefinite Delivery hybrid contract with a five year period ofperformance. A Facility Top Secret clearance is required under this requirement. TheNAICS Code and Size Standard are 561612 and $18.5 Million, respectively. All responsiblesources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipatedrelease date of a draft RFP is on or about Dec. 12, 2011, to be followed with a final RFPon or about Jan 23, 2012 with an anticipated offer due date on or about Feb. 22, 2012.Pre-Proposal Meeting/Industry Days are tentatively scheduled for January 10, 2012 andJanuary 11, 2012.
