Description
Sources Sought Notice 1.0. Type of Notification: Sources Sought. This is a sources sought notice only; the purpose of this notice is to acquire knowledge about potential qualified sources. Responses to this notice are requested to include the following: a) Company name: _____________________________________ b) Address: _____________________________________ c) Point of contact:_____________________________________ d) Saudi Arabian company*: _____ Yes _____ No In addition, respondents are asked to provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations' qualifications and ability to perform as a prime contractor for the work described below. 2.0. Description: The Office of Program Management (OPM), Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG), The work will include a variety of minor construction and telecommunication tasks in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Install indoor and outdoor 50-pair copper, 6-core Multimode, 12-core Multimode, and 12-core Singlemode Fiber Optic cables to allow connectivity for voice and data networks. Install Krone Indoor Patch Panels for 50 Pair Copper Cables. Install Patch Panels for 6-core multimode LC Fiber Optics. Install 24-core Multimode and 24-core SingleMode LC Fiber Optic patch panels for interconnect fiber cables coming from multiple buildings. Install 3/4in x 3ft x 3ft white laminated plywood for communications closet backboard. Ensure work performed includes but is not limited to the following: installation of underground pipes, conduits, manholes, Telephone Distribution Cabinet (TDC), outdoor Building Entrance Terminal (BET) cabinets, copper, and fiber optic cables/Lightguide Interface Unit and SC connectors, copper cable terminal blocks along the roads and walkways; full restoration of ground structure to include all vegetation, plants, and walkway tiles upon completion of work, civil works as required, outdoor installations, cable splicing, testing, and acceptance. Trench and install, 2 x 4" (110mm) PVC Conduits in between manholes and 2 x 2" (50mm) PVC conduits in between manholes and the individual buildings to be able to run copper and fiber optic cables. The minimum size of trench is 60cm wide and 80cm deep. Ensure telephone cables are terminated into the 110 and KRONE telephone terminal blocks in the TDC or BET are tagged and tested. After cable installation, the Contractor shall test all copper cables for continuity from one end with the Ohm Meter before the cables are terminated. The Contractor shall conduct end-to-end testing of all cable pairs and resistance/continuity, balance, and unbalance; and insulation testing from both ends with the Ohm Meter after the cables are terminated. After cable installation, the Contractor shall test all fiber optic cables for integrity, from end-to-end, with Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) or Power Level Meter after the cables are terminated. 3.0. General Information: Information submitted in response to this sources sought notice is to be used for planning purposes only. This notice shall not be construed as a request for proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on this basis, or otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the government will accrue as a result of a submission or of a response or use of such information.
