- This is the second notice and serves as the official synopsis. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, located in Annapolis Junction, Maryland anticipates issuance of a solicitation to replace a three story electric elevator with a new hydraulic elevator at the Federal Medical Center located in Rochester, Minnesota. The successful contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment and expertise for the construction project. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. This project is a total 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238290 which contain a size standard of $14 million. The period of performance is 141 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.ccr.gov and http://orca.bpn.gov. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The successful contractor shall be responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes. No tax exemption certificate will be issued by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The issuance of solicitation IFBP04121200001 will be on or about December 1, 2011. The solicitation will be distributed through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities web site at www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed through this site.
