- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center Carswell, Fort Worth, Texas, intends to issue solicitation RFQP05051200001 to make a single award to a responsible quoter for the provision of Bathroom Shower Resurfacing Services. The contractor shall purchase and install a protective elastomeric polyurethane coating onto the shower surfaces with all necessary materials & components for all bathroom showers located at the High Rise building at FMC Carswell, J Street, Building 3000, Fort Worth Texas. The contractor and his/her contracted workers shall have limited supervised contact with inmates confined to this facility. * See the attached Statement of Work for further details pertaining to this pre-solicitation notice. * The authorized working times will be determined by the Facilities Manager upon award of the contract. FMC Carswell will operate on the Federal Holiday schedule in which contract services will reschedule accordingly. The successful contractor must comply with all EPA, Federal, State, and Local laws and statutes. The rate for these services shall be on a per service basis. Quotes per service shall include all charges for supplies, pick-up, transportation, handling, disposal, and other related fees. Award shall be made to the responsive/responsible bidder submitting the lowest Total Bid Amount. It is determined that eight (8) shower areas with each of the shower areas containing seven (7) regular stalls at 103 square feet and one (1) over-sized shower stall at 136 square feet that will be sprayed with the mentioned system coating. Coating will be sprayed on all walls and floors in the shower stall. (See Statement of Work for further details) The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 238190, with a small business size standard at $14.0M. The solicitation will be available on or about November 18, 2011 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All qualified sources are encouraged to submit an offer which will be considered for award. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The estimated date for receipt of offers is December 05, 2011 at 9:00am CST. A site visit is scheduled for November 30, 2011 at 9:00am CST for all interested quoters. A background clearance will be required in advance to the site visit.
