- This notice modifies the special notice FA9200-10-C-0353 that was posted on 24 Aug 2010. That posting was a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract to Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS), located at 1151 E Hermans Road, Bldg 807, Tucson, AZ 85756-9367. That special notice contract action was awarded on 14 Jan 2011 via contract FA9200-11-C-0115. The Air Armament Center Rapid Acquisition Cell (RAC) Contracting Office, AAC/EBSK/EBSA, located at 207 West D Avenue, Building 349, Suite 626, Eglin Air Force Base, FL, 32542, intends to increase the above contract's allowable dollar threshold to $60M for the procurement of additional Griffin missiles, support equipment, and engineering support. The authority for going sole source is FAR 6.302-1 [10 U.S.C.(c)(1)], Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Raytheon developed the Griffin missiles at their own expense. This notice of contract action is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. Interested responsible sources may identify their interest and submit a capability statement in response to this notice. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred preparing proposals in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any responses to this notice of contract action shall be submitted to Holly Deuser, holly.deuser@eglin.af.mil no later than 30 November 2011, 4:00 PM CST.
