Description
Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, including 8(a) small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, woman-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or HUBZone small businesses capable of providing a one year preventative maintenance agreement for the Leica SP2 Triple Channel Confocal Microscope System and the Leica CM3050 S Configured Cryostat. Coverage for the SP2 system shall include: Emergency repair service as required Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM; labor, travel, and replacement parts, as required (excluding consumable items); and one planned maintenance inspection. Coverage for all parts, to include the SP2 system; UV ready (includes coupling, fibers, pinhole optics, UV lens wheel/filter wheel, UV AOTF, and labor/travel expenses associated with UV alignment and repair); 351 Laser; 561 Laser; and Acousto-Optical Beam Splitter (AOBS). All shipping costs to and from the customer location. Unlimited replacement service parts, components or modules necessary for repairs. Unlimited on-site service calls including all labor and travel expenses (Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM). Unlimited access to expert technology support center (M - F, 8 AM -5PM). Coverage for the CM3050 S system shall include: Emergency repair service as required Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM; labor, travel, and replacement parts, as required (excluding consumable items); and one planned maintenance inspection. Interested firms with the capability of providing, at a minimum, fifty-one percent (51%) of the required service, shall submit a capability statement to assist the Government in determining in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.502-2(b)whether or not this procurement will be set-aside for any of the programs described above. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 811219 with a size standard of $7.0M. All respondents are requested to identify their firm's size and type of business. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide a capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Government's requirements for the above. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, but not to exceed ten (10) pages, so that the Government can determine the experience and capability of your firm to provide the requirements above. Your capability statement should include a minimum of three references. Two (2) copies of the capability statement must be received at the contracting office address: 6100 Executive Blvd, Room 5Z00, Rockville, MD 20852 - ATTN: Tracey Muck, prior to 10:00 a.m. eastern standard time on November 21, 2011. Email and fax submission of capability statements will not be accepted. Capability statement must reference solicitation# NIH-NICHD-12-009.
