- Estimated issue date November 30, 2011 and estimated closing/response date January 16, 2012 PR#: FD2030-12-70228 RFP#: SPRTA1-12-R-0087 Nomenclature/Noun: CONTROL, GENERATOR used on B-2 Aircraft, Part Number 2118476-91 (Cage 64547), Drawing Number DAA3243P003, NSN 6110-01-439-8147FW. AMC: 3D THIS ITEM IS SOLE SOURCE TO HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC, CAGE CODE 64547 History: No Prior History Exist. L/I 0001 - Maximum quantity of 12. Mandatory Language: Note: Item Description: Length 31.0000 (IN), Height 14.5000 (IN), Width 31.0000 (IN), Weight 42.0000 (LB). Item Function: The Control Generator for the aircraft auxiliary power unit. It is standard equipment in the B-2 Aircraft. Material: Metal cast container, copper weir, multiple switches, power supply, wires, relay assembly, panel covers, fixed resistors, semiconductor device, tape adhesive, insulation, washers, nuts and capacitors. Currently Honeywell International Inc (Cage 64547) is the only known source that can satisfy the Government requirements. DAA3243P003 is a spec control drawing. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Data is not sufficient to qualify another source. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms(s) listed: Honeywell International (Cage 64547). An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government Personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposal or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the Ombudsman at (405) 734-8241. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER FOR SOLICITATION REQUESTS. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed request received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Note: Faxed solicitation requests can be submitted to DLA Aviation, Tinker AFB OK 73145, and FAX NUMBER (405) 739-4237. "Notice to Offerors: Fiscal Year 12 funds are NOT presently available for this acquisition. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds availability is certified. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. The proposed contract is restricted to domestic sources under the authority of FAR 6.302-3. Accordingly, foreign sources, except Canadian sources are not eligible for award.
