- This is a pre-solicitation synopsis of a proposed contracting action in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.210. This is a request for proposals and no response will be made to requests for solicitation documents. The solicitation is estimated to be issued on or about 6 November 2011 and will be posted to the Government Point of Entry (GPE) at http://www.fbo.gov. Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Center - Fort Bragg has a requirement to paint a dive training facility at Key West Florida. The MICC is satisfying a requirement for a client to paint "US ARMY SPECIALS FORCES" lettering along both roof top surfaces of the dive training facility. The "US ARMY" lettering is to be approximately 8 feet tall and the "SPECIAL FORCES" lettering is to be 4 feet tall. The requirement also consist of painting four dive badge emblems on four separate walls; two emblems will be approximately 30 feet by 30 feet, one emblem will be approximately 20 feet by 20 feet and the fourth emblem will be approximately 15 feet by 15 feet. The final part of the requirement is to paint two green beret emblems both being 15 feet by 15 feet in measurement. Prior to painting the building, the contractor must prepare the site (ex: strip and primer the existing paint) and clean up after the job is complete. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, tools, supervision, engineering and other items necessary to complete this work. The acquisition service is being set aside for total small business. The government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price (FFP), contract as a result of this solicitation, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238320. Solicitation W91247-12-T-0008 will be issued on or about 6 November 2011. The magnitude of the construction project is between $25,000 and $100,000. All offers shall be provided as specified in the solicitation. A notification will be issued on the Army Single Face Industry (AFSI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil/afsi. No paper copies will be provided. Site visit for this requirement will be 11 November 2011 at 1100 EST. Meeting location will be at the US Army Special Forces Underwater Operations Dive Tower (building KW400) in Key West Florida. Prospective offerors interested in submitting an offer on this solicitation must have a commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code and are reminded in accordance with DFARS Clause 252.204-7004, Alternate A; Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (Sept 2007). Inactive registration on the CCR database will make a prospective offeror ineligible for award consideration. The website address for the CCR registration is http://ccr.gov.
