Description

The National Cemetery Administration is soliciting offers under Solicitation No. VA-786-12-R-0019 for the following service: The contractor shall be required to provide I1 Inscription of Marble Niche Covers, U1 Inscription of Upright Marble Headstone and R2 Reverse Inscription of Upright Marble Headstone. All potential offerors will submit at their expense two (2) marble inscription samples by the closing of the solicitation. The samples will be used to determine the potential awardees' ability to perform inscriptions. Sample Requirements for U1 and R2 Inscriptions should be one marble inscription sample (22 X 13 X ¾") white marble slab to be inscribed and packaged to prevent and damage during shipping. Sample Requirement for I1 Inscriptions should be one marble inscription sample on a (15-3/4 x 11-1/4" x3/4") plague to be inscribed. The samples will be used to determine the potential awardees' ability to perform inscriptions. The sample should conform to government specifications for lettering, inscription depth and layout. Mark each sample on the back with permanent marker to show: contractor's name and solicitation number, email address and cemetery name. Any sample which arrives damaged will not be accepted. The samples shall establish the minimum acceptable product for all inscriptions under this contract and will be the basis for comparison of all inscription services provided under this contract. This sample should be received and approved prior to the closing date of the solicitation. Evaluation criteria for this award will be in the following order: 1) Price; 2) Technical Qualifications, and 3) Past Performance. This acquisition is 100% set aside for Small Business (SB). The NAICS Code is 327991. Size standard is 500 employees. Electronic solicitations will be available for download from http://www.fbo.gov on or about November 07, 2011, 2011. Responses to the solicitation are due on or about 2:00 P.M. on November 22, 2011. Any amendments to the solicitation will also be available at www.fbo.gov. Offerors are advised they are responsible for obtaining any amendments. ****NOTE - All potential offerors who have submitted and received approval notification for a sample of same type within the last 12 months may submit a copy of that approved review with the bid to avoid submitting another sample.*****
