- Description
- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing manufactures US Currency. The BEP has two manufacturing facilities - one in Washington DC called the Eastern Currency Facility (ECF) and the second in Forth Worth, Texas called the Western Currency Facility (WCF). The Bureau of Engraving and Printing has a requirement for the following items for both the ECF and WCF: (1) Data Service for 146 Cingular blackberry phones (2) Voice services for 146 blackberry phones. 300 minutes national pooled plan GSM. (3) Wireless priority for 15 phones. (4) International, voice, data, taxes, surcharges, and regulatory fees associated with CLINS 001 through 003. This notice is a Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition (JOFOC) for these services. The BEP intends to procure the above four items from Cingular Wireless via their published GSA schedule No. GS-35F-0297K via FAR part 8 as a fixed price type contract. The period of performance for this service is November 15, 2011 through November 14, 2012. The program office has stated the phones have been purchased from Cingular wireless. As such, Cingular wireless is the only service provider for Cingular wireless cellular phones. If the BEP were to receive services from another phone company, the BEP would be responsible for purchasing new phones for all accounts. In addition the phone numbers would change. If your company is able t provide Cingular Wireless cell phone services as a authorized Cingular service reseller via a GSA schedule please contact Kathleen Reidy at Kathleen.Reidy@bep.gov.
