- Interested parties are invited to review the attached SOW and provide comments/advice to the FEMA requiring activity. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to identify potential vendor managed sources of supply for the deliverables identified in Section E of the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor(s) shall have the capability to kit, store, and rotate perishables; and deliver up to 30 complete kits to disaster sites as designated by FEMA within 24 hours, or within a reasonable timeframe as negotiated with the Contracting Officer. Upon FEMA request, the contractor(s) shall also be capable of providing any deliverable identified in Section E, either individually or in combination, on an a la carte basis. Interested vendors are encouraged to assist FEMA in: -Gathering information to help make a decision on what steps to take next in conjunction with market research -Eliciting information from a broad base of potential suppliers for the purpose of developing a strategy, building a list of potential vendors, and preparing the solicitation document -Encouraging early exchanges of information Proposed Contract Type: The proposed contract type for this acquisition is a Single or Multiple Award Firm Fixed-Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract. Proposed Set-Aside: FEMA is contemplating a Total Small Business Set-Aside unless the results of market research indicate that alternate parameters of competition are advantageous to the Government. Proposed Classification Code and NAICS: FEMA is contemplating Classification Code "89-Subsistence" and NAICS "624230-Emergency and Other Relief Services". Statement of Work: Please find a draft copy of the SOW in the attached. Vendors are encouraged to suggest effective methods of structuring the work tasks to meet contract deliverables and facilitate industry engagement.
