- Sole Source Justification For: Simplified Acquisitions over $3,000 and up to $150,000 supplies/services Description: The procurement of replacement parts for rolling filter screen for the sewer system for Federal Correctional Complex, Coleman, Florida. • The Supply/Service listed below is available from only one source and competition is precluded for reasons indicated below. There are no substitutes available for this supply/service. • Restricted to the following source: Arlat Technology, Division of Price-Schonstrom Inc. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: FCC Coleman requires the Arlat to provide replacement parts for the Emergency Repair of the Arlat Barscreen TS500. REQUIRED PRODUCTS: The contractor shall replace all damaged equipment in the barscreen, and pre-assemble the filter belt components and test the assembly. Parts needed to be replaced and/or repaired are listed in Table 1. Upon completion of all necessary work, the new assembly will be shipped to the following address: Federal Bureau of Prisons FCC Coleman 846 N.E. 54th Terrace Coleman, FL 33521 352-689-3164 • Specific characteristics of the supplies/services that limit competition: The Arlat Barscreen TS500 is a specialized assembly for wastewater treatment. Due to Emergency and the nature of the current equipment, these supplies are deemed to be available from the original source for the continued production of a major system. Use of additional sources would entail additional work resulting in interruption of sewer services for FCC Coleman. • Interested parties are required to submit any information on or before 3:00 p.m., Central Standard Time 28 October 2011 to the attention of George Steele, contract specialist or Nancy Edwards, contract specialist.
