- The National Cemetery Administration is soliciting offers under Solicitation No. VA-786-12-R-0009 for the following: The purpose of this requisition is to supply Blank Flat Granite Markers in support of the On-Site Inscription Programs at National and State Cemeteries located Nationwide. This contract covers the period from Date of Award through September 30, 2012 with (2) year option to extend the term of the contract through September 30, 2014. This work includes all labor and materials necessary to furnish finished blank flat granite markers at National and State Cemeteries Nationwide. Contractor is responsible for the following: "Provide all labor and material needed to package and palletize shipments of the blank markers. "Shipments will be FOB Origin, contractor's facility, utilizing Government contracted carriers. "Contractor is responsible for scheduling, through the transportation carrier's website, ensuring shipment pick-up and the generation of required shipping documentation. "Provide all labor and equipment to load pallets or singles onto the carrier's vehicle. "After notifying the government contracted carriers for pickup, provide email notification within 24 hours if carriers fail to pick up as arranged "Report, via email, the number of items in each shipment for each destination and the date shipped. All work shall be performed in accordance with the specifications, drawings, terms and conditions of the contract. This acquisition is 100% Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Set-Aside. The NAICS Code is 327991. Size standard of 500 Employees is applicable. The contractor shall have fifteen (15) calendar days, excluding federal holidays, as counted from the date following the day an order is sent to the contractor until the monuments are manufactured, packaged and transferred to a government transportation carrier. Evaluation criteria for this award will be in the following descending order: 1) Price 2) Technical, 3) Past Performance. Electronic solicitations will be available for download from Federal Business Opportunities http://www.FedBizOpps.gov on or around October 24, 2011. Responses to the solicitation are due by 2:00 p.m., November 7, 2011. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments to the solicitation which is available at FedBizOpps.
