- Market input is solicited to identify potential sources and Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) items that may satisfy the Air Soldier ALSE 72-Hour Mandatory Items Kit requirements as provided in the attached draft specification and to solicit feedback regarding the requirements captured in this document. Ideal solutions will provide reductions in weight and bulk from the current suite of gear. The responses to this RFI will be used to develop an initial list of potential offerors that may elect to participate in a future Request for Proposal (RFP) leading to the execution of a competitively awarded IDIQ contract for up to five years to purchase test articles and to provide assets for fielding as part of the Air Soldier beginning 4Q2014.
