Description
Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Office of Procurement Services on behalf of the Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS) intends to award a Sole Source Contract to: INVERNESS TECHNOLOGIES, INC 5203 LEESBURG PIKE STE 300 Falls Church, VA 22041-3402 VETS requires facilitation services for both its domestic and overseas Transition Assistance Program (TAP). The TAP Employment Workshop provides three distinct elements: instruction, information, and assistance. The TAP Employment Workshop provides training for resume writing, career guidance, self assessment, job analysis, job search, and job interview techniques. Additionally, the program shall provide information and assistance as outlined in the TAP Employment Workshop Instructor Manual and the TAP Employment Workshop Participant Manual. The contractor shall conduct and facilitate TAP Employment Workshops at all designated domestic and overseas sites. The period of performance is 12 months from date of award. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate the required services with only one source IAW with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all capability statements of no more than 10 pages received by 1:00 p.m., 24 October, 2011. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
