- This is Modification #2 to the synopsis entitled International Space Station CommonCommunications for Visiting Vehicles (C2V2) that was posted on October 14, 2011. NASA Johnson Space Center (NASA/JSC) plans to conduct a C2V2 Pre-Proposal Conference. NASA/JSC is hereby soliciting firms to attend this event on Thursday, November 3, 2011,from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM CST at the NASA/JSC Gilruth Recreation Center Alamo Ballroom. One-on-one meetings will be held on November 3, 2011, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM CST at theNASA/JSC Gilruth Recreation Center San Jacinto Room and on November 4, 2011, from 10:00AM to 4:30 PM CST in the Building 111 Industry Assistance Office. The current C2V2 Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) is provided on the C2V2 Website at:http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/issc2v2/ An online Technical Library and an Export Controlled Technical Library are alsoavailable. It is a Prospective Offeror's responsibility to monitor the website forupdates to these Technical Libraries.GOALS:The goals of this Pre-Proposal Conference are:1. Provide information on the C2V2.2. Promote competition.3. Share the Government's current vision for the C2V2.4. Allow NASA/JSC to receive industry comments and suggestions regarding the DraftRequest for Proposal.The Pre-Proposal Conference is open to all firms that are interested in pursuingcontracting/subcontracting opportunities for the C2V2 whether or not they have performedwork at NASA/JSC previously. No photographic or recording devices are permitted during this presentation or during theone-on-one communication sessions. ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS:To facilitate interactive communication with Industry, NASA personnel will be availablefor a private meeting with individual companies.The purpose of this meeting is to provide industry with the opportunity to betterunderstand the requirements of the C2V2 acquisition and to allow industry an opportunityto provide input on the questions asked in the posted DRFP cover letter and Request forInformation (RFI) Synopsis. In addition, the Government may ask for additionalclarification on written responses to these questions.The meetings are intended to bequestion and answer sessions in which neither side will be making a formal presentation.Any company may request a one-on-one meeting. Meetings will not exceed forty-five (45)minutes in length and attendance is limited to four (4) persons. Scheduling ofappointment times will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Appointments will bescheduled on November 3, 2011, from 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM CST and November 4, 2011, from10:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST. Company's name and addressiii. Company's Points of Contact (POC) names, telephone numbers, and email addresses.iv. The e-mail RSVP shall explicitly state each of the company's attendees' names andtitles of attendees (limited to four) from your company that intend to attend theone-on-one meeting. Any special time requests, with justification, will only beaccommodated as practical.E-mail reservations shall be received on October 28, 2011 no later than 4:00 PM CST. Aconfirmation e-mail will be sent to acknowledge your reservation. Companies will be notified on or before October 31, 2011, of their assigned one-on-onemeeting session time. Should the number of firms requesting meetings exceed the timesavailable on November 3rd and 4th, other meeting times will be arranged as soon aspractical. DIRECTIONS TO THE GILRUTH CENTER:Heading south on I-45, turn left on Bay Area Boulevard (east).Proceed approximately 3miles on Bay Area Boulevard, and then turn right on Space Center Boulevard. Proceedapproximately 2 miles on Space Center Boulevard, through two stop lights. Turn right atthe Johnson Space Center Gilruth Center. Proceed to the Gilruth parking lot. Enterthrough the Gilruth Center's front entry; the Alamo Ballroom will be on your left.DIRECTIONS TO BUILDING 111 INDUSTRY ASSISTANCE:Heading south on I-45, take the right exit onto the NASA Bypass via Exit 24 toward NASARoad 1. The Bypass ends on NASA Road 1. Take a left at Saturn Lane. The NASA JSC mainentrance is immediately on the right. Building 111 is to the right of the main entrancegate (next to the Security Building). The DRFP is not a solicitation. No solicitation exists; do not request a copy of thesolicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and onthe NASA Acquisition Internet Service.It is the Potential Offeror's responsibility tomonitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis.Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. Thesedocuments will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWWbrowser application.
