- Description
- The purpose of the attached amendment is to correct the Offer Due Date from 24 OCT 2011 at 1:00PM to 11 NOV 2011 at 9:00PM in the Solicitation. This is a solicitation for commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a Total Small Business Set Aside. This solicitation is Intermodal and Ocean Transportation Services for cargo to/from Continental United States of America (CONUS) and Antigua and Ascension Island. Service shall consist of intermodal and ocean transportation and distribution services of break bulk and container cargo for military and military sponsored cargo offered for commercial ocean transportation in the Defense Transportation System (DTS). Service will be through ocean common or contract carriers offering regularly scheduled commercial liner service for requirements that will arise on the following routes: door-to-door service to Antigua and door-to-port service to Ascension Island. Offerors should respond in accordance with the attached Request for Proposal (RFP). The anticipated period of performance will be from 1 Jan 2012 to 30 Sep 2012 with two one-year option periods. The NAICS code is 483111. No hardcopies of this solicitation will be issued. The solicitation may be downloaded from the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency IAW FAR 5.207 (c)(15). The CARE RFQ will be listed as 0030 Antigua/Ascension Island Base Period, 0030-1 Antigua/Ascension Island Option Year 1, and 0030-2 Antigua/Ascension Island Option Year 2. When the electronic CARE RFQs are opened a notice will be posted to this requirement. The Offer Due Date for the electronic RFQs will be 11 NOV 11 at 9:00 PM. For more information on CARE, see attached RFP. A pre-proposal teleconference will be conducted on 25 OCT 2011 from 1:00 pm CDT to 2:00 pm CDT.
