Description
The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound intends to solicit, in support of Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for the purchase of one each Hone Shaft Sleeve machine at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, Maine, in accordance with government specifications. A site visit will be held on November 09, 2011 at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, Maine. Site Visit Request will be provided with the Solicitation. The vendor will prepare the site for the equipment, including construction of a concrete foundation atop an existing concrete floor. The vendor will also install all necessary utility connections. Work capacity up to 246 inches L x 33 inch D, work piece weight up to 10,000 lbs, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), or Computer Numerical Control (CNC), and all accessories and attachments described in the specification, for use in honing work pieces of Copper-Nickel alloy, Money, Nickel-Copper, and Inconel. Specifications include providing technical documentation and manuals, onsite training, set-up, testing, and a warranty. Required delivery date is 280 Days after date of contract. FOB Destination pricing required. This requirement to be solicited using commercial, simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13.5 utilizing Low Price, Technically Acceptable with Past Performance evaluation factors. The acquisition will be solicited anticipating award of a Firm, Fixed-Price Supply type contract. Numbered Note One applies “ The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: https://www.neco.navy.mil. The anticipated posting date of the solicitation is on or about 27 October 2011 with a closing on 29 November 2011. Complete specifications to be included in the solicitation. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. Prospective offerors should register themselves on the NECO website. No telephone or FAX requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or FAXed. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by NAVSUP FLC Puget Sound. Offerors must also be registered in the Contractors Central Registration (CCR) in order to participate in this procurement at http://www.ccr.gov.
