- Estimated issue date November 2, 2011 and estimated closing/response date December 2, 2011 PR#: FD2030-12-70245 RFP#: SPRTA1-12-R-0041 Nomenclature/Noun: Reciprocating Compressor Unit used on B-2 Aircraft, Part Number 3505826-4 (Cage 59364), NSN 4310-01-445-5340FW. AMC: 4B History: No Prior History Exist. L/I 0001 - Maximum quantity of 26. Mandatory Language: Note: Item Description: Length 16.3000 (IN), Height 9.2000 (IN), Width 9.0000 (IN), Weight 25.0000 (LB). Item Function: The turbine driven compressor (TDC) uses bleed air to recharge the pass storage vessel from one of three sources: The APU, Main Engine Cross Bleed, or A Ground Cart. The bleed air drives the compressor turbine which in turn operates a two-stage reciprocating piston compressor. The TDC interfaces pneumatically with the PRSOV and the pressure vessel recharge valve and mechanically to the vehicle via mounting pads. Material: Steel Alloy. Currently Honeywell International Inc (Cage 59364) is the only known source that can satisfy the Government requirements. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms(s) listed: Honeywell International (Cage 59364). An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government Personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposal or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the Ombudsman at (405) 734-8241. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER FOR SOLICITATION REQUESTS. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed request received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered.
