- Description
- State of Work Interstate Electronics Company completed the installation of existing equipment in the new National Preparedness Division office space as a GSA approved sub-contractor in May, 2011. The installed equipment carries a one-year warranty that will be voided if the equipment is serviced by any other entity than Interstate Electronics Company. In addition, this company possesses the technical data required to interface and program the new equipment with the existing equipment, thereby reducing significant additional cost to government for this project. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) intends to issue a request for proposal on a sole source basis to Interstate Electronics Company, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This requirement is for audio/visual upgrades of the existing system at the Region 5, National Preparedness Division conference room 7th floor, Chicago, IL. The original project was designed by Interstate Electronics Company. FEMA has decided to contract with Interstate Electronics Company as the contractor for the Audio and Visual upgrades based on their knowledge gained during the design phase of this project including the knowledge of the building, its operations, infrastructure and systems. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within five(5) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
