Description

Norfolk Ship Support Activity, PO Box 215, Portsmouth, VA, 23705-0215, is seeking to identify potential Small Business (SB) sources to accomplish the Tank Watch for Confined and Poorly Ventilated Spaces with both Green & Red Badge Security Requirements on the USS NEWPORT NEWS (SSN-750). Work will be performed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth VA. The place of performance is restricted to the homeport. NAICS code 336611 applies, with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Potential sources are notified that the Limitations on Subcontracting clause (FAR 52.219-14) will be included in any RFP set aside for small business concerns. Only interested parties who intend to submit a proposal should submit a written expression of interest to the address stated below not later than October 20, 2011. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal/Quote (RFP/Q) nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach.
