- Description
- The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Division of Intramural Research (DIR), has a requirement for on-site management, operation, professional, technical, support services in AAALAC accredited Government owned/leased laboratory animal facilities and in research laboratories located in the Bethesda, Rockville area in Maryland. Requirements are in support of a wide variety of research investigations using a multitude of animal species and biological, chemical and radiological hazards. Care of animals will be in accordance with all current animal welfare regulations and policies. Approximately 200 personnel working in and among eight separate animal facilities ranging from Animal BioSafety Level 1 (ABSL 1) to ABSL 4 will be required. It is anticipated that any resultant contract will be awarded as a one year cost reimbursement type contract beginning on March 12, 2012 with the option for four additional contract years. The RFP will be available electronically on or about October 31, 2011 for download through FedBizOpps at http://www.fbo.gov. This notice does not commit the government to award a contract.
