Description

This is not a solicitation announcement and should not be construed as such. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (HubZone, 8(a), Small Business, Small Disadvantaged, etc) relative to NAICS 621399 (size standard of $7.0 million). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published at www.fbo.gov website. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Veterans Affairs Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center (RLR VAMC), Indianapolis, IN is performing pre-solicitation market research to determine potential business sources and set-aside possibilities for Interoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Services, including technologists and all necessary equipment. If you are interested and capable of providing the required services, please provide the requested information, as indicated below. The intended contract will be a base year with four (4) one (1) year renewal option years. Contractor shall provide trained technicians, equipment and all necessary accessories for requested surgical procedures in the operating room (OR). Contractor technicians shall be overseen by the attending surgeon. Technician services shall be provided on-site in the RLR VAMC ORs. The Contractor shall have a sufficient number of fully trained technicians to ensure that qualified individuals provide services on a per needed basis - as specified by the RLR VAMC. On site IONM technicians shall be certified to provide intra-operative monitoring. The Contractor shall ensure the technicians assigned to perform in ORs possess knowledge of the affects of anesthesia and of various artifacts, such as electrical interference from OR equipment in order to be able to assess their effects on the data collected during the surgical procedure. Technician shall have knowledge of potential morbidity caused by the monitoring process itself, quality control systems, performance testing and the calibration of equipment. The contractor shall provide the equipment necessary to effectively communicate the intra-operative interpretation of data. The technicians shall provide recommendations based upon interpretation of monitoring results to the Attending Surgeon and OR personnel. Potential sources must demonstrate experience and knowledge of required services and capability to provide such services. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their capabilities. Potential sources should identify business name, point of contact, business size and any applicable business socio-economic category (i.e. small business, SDVOSB, VOSB, etc), service capability statement, provide information for recent and relevant projects similar in nature, DUNS number, address and any additional information felt to be pertinent. The NAICS code for this procurement is 621399 and the small business size standard is $7.0 million average annual receipts for preceding three (3) years.
