- NSN 7R-1680-015376341-FZ, TDP VER 001, QTY 10 EA, DELIVERY FOB ORIGIN,ISSUE TO GABLES ENGINEERING INC, CORAL GABLES, FL 33146-0880. This notice ofintent is not a request for competitive quotes and the proposed/contract actionis for supplies or services for which the Government intends to negotiate withonly one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilityto respond to the requirement or submit quotes. Quotes received prior to theaward date will be considered by the Government.A determination by theGovernment not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to thisnotice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information receivedwill normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether toconduct a competitive procurement. The design of this part is unstable.Engineering, manufacturing, or performance characteristics indicate that therequired design objectives have not been achieved. Major changes arecontemplated because the part has a low process yield or has demonstratedmarginal performance during tests or service use. These changes will render thepresent part obsolete and unusable in its present configuration. Limitedacquisition from the present source is anticipated pending configurationchanges. The subject item requires Government source approval prior to contractaward, as the item is flight critical and/or the technical data available hasnot been determined adequate to support acquisition via full and opencompetition. Only the source(s) previously approved by the Government for thisitem have been solicited. The time required for approval of a new source isnormally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.If you are not an approved source you must submit, together with your proposal,the information detailed in one of the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUPWSS) Source Approval Information Brochures listed below. Spares:www.neco.navy.mil/sar.aspx Repair: www.neco.navy.mil/sarr.aspx These brochuresidentify the technical data required to be submitted based on your company'sexperience in production of the same or similar item, or if this is an item youhave never made. If your request for source approval is currently beingevaluated at NAVSUP WSS submit with your offer a copy of the cover letter whichforwarded your request for source approval. Offers received which fail toprovide all data required by the Source Approval Brochure or document previoussubmission of all data required by the Source Approval Brochure will not beconsidered for award under this solicitation. Please note, if evaluation of asource approval request submitted hereunder cannot be processed in time and/orapproval requirements preclude the ability to obtain subject items in time tomeet Government requirements, award of the subject requirement may continuebased on Fleet support needs.
