- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue solicitation RFQP04171100027 for the provision of the services of an Optometrist to be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution (to include the Federal Detention Center also on site) located at Milan, MI. The services will be performed on-site at the facility in the Health Services Department for the general inmate population. It is estimated that the contract will require 16 sessions (two/eight hour visits per month with a session being defined as 1 hour in duration) to be performed monthly. Services will normally be scheduled between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. The estimated total amount of sessions required per contract year will be 192. The contract period shall consist of one 12 month base year and 4 twelve month option periods for renewal. The applicable North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 621320, with a small business size standard of $7.0 million. The solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. All responsible small business concerns may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations may submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The solicitation will be available on or about October 28, 2011 and will be distributed solely through the website at www.fbo.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments will be distributed through the website. The anticipated deadline for receipt of quotations is November 28, 2011.
