- Description
- This is a Pre-Solicitation notice (synopsis) for a full and open competition for quantifying pavement albedo. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has a requirement to research the urban "Heat Island" effect, which has been attributed to the heat stored within infrastructures, such as roads and buildings. Therefore, to make any qualifying statement with regards to the potential for either to contribute to the urban heat island effect, some experimental data is needed to determine how the pavement albedo changes with time while taking account all the factors known to have an influence on pavement. This solicitation will only be released and available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Accordingly, NO written, telephone, facsimile, or email requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. Interested parties may register at the aforementioned site to receive notification of this action, as well as a variety of other procurement announcements and information. It is the responsibility of offerors to monitor the FedBizOpps website for any amendments or additional information related to the RFP package and this procurement. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 541712 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. NO OTHER PROCUREMENT INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.
