- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award to a qualified business for the provision of Elevator Preventative Maintenance, Repair, and Inspection Services to be provided at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, located in Chicago, IL. The successful Contractor shall provide services to include the management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, repair parts, tools, instruments and equipment to be performed as specified in the statement of work. The Contractor shall coordinate and ensure effective, economical completion of all work and services as specified in the statement of work. The award will be made to the responsible quoter who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price related factors only. The contract shall consist of a 12 month base year and four (4) 12 month option years for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be a service contract, indefinite-delivery requirements type contract, with firm fixed unit pricing for monthly maintenance services that shall be inclusive of all related charges for Elevator Maintenance as specified in the statement of work. The Contractor shall perform the required services in accordance with all current Federal, State, and Local Codes or Regulations regarding Elevator Maintenance. All licenses, permits, etc., shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor shall adhere to the work schedule established in the statement of work. The solicitation will be available on or about October 13, 2011 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. All Contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about November 3, 2011. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible quoters may submit a quote which will be considered for award.
