- Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport intends to solicit and negotiate with distributors and vendors of Brand name manufacturers under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (c), Application for Brand Name Description. A firm fixed priced purchase order will be issued for two, Reach Technology, Digital Data Recorders. This notice is a request for competitive proposals amongst the manufacture, distributors, and/or vendors. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The Government will consider all responses received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This requirement is being issued as a synopsis for commercial Items in accordance with FAR 5.203. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis. The solicitation number for this requirement will be issued as a request for quote (RFQ) N00253-12-T-0003. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 334515 and has a size standard of 500 employees; this procurement will be solicited under Full and Open competition. Provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Federal Circulars 2005-53 will be included in the solicitation.
