- Description
- Electronic Control Access System The Joint Multinational training center acquired an additional area of responsibility which does not have an electronic access control system. A previous contract was established in Sept 2010 which was installed with Hirsch components. To ensure compatibility with the current access control system already in place at another building which ties into one central control station, only Hirsch can satisfy this requirement. The central controller must be able to communicate with the access control entry points of both buildings. Due to the proprietary nature of the Hirsch system, only another Hirsch system can tie into the central controller. Therefore, a sole source requirement was submitted and approved for the purchase of Hirsch electronic thereby limiting competition.
