- UPS Programmer Military Post Office (MPO) located in Vicenza Italy, submitted a sole source requirement for the purchase of upgrading an already in place UPS trackpad equipment and software licensing. Market research was conducted to determine whether there were other sources that provided postal operations tracking systems. Although other sources are capable of providing mail room tracking systems, the UPS Trackpad is the only source compatible with the already existing tracking system that the MPO already has in place. A sole source justification was submitted and approved for the purchase of UPS Trackpad software thereby limiting competition.
