- NSN 7R-5895-012368418-FZ, TDP VER 002, QTY 13 EA, DELIVERY FOB ORIGIN,ISSUE TO MARVIN ENGINEERING CO INC, INGLEWOOD, CA 90302-2903. This notice ofintent is not a request for competitive quotes and the proposed/contract actionis for supplies or services for which the Government intends to negotiate withonly one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilityto respond to the requirement or submit quotes. Quotes received prior to theaward date will be considered by the Government.A determination by theGovernment not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to thisnotice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information receivedwill normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether toconduct a competitive procurement. The Government physically does not have inits possession sufficient,accurate, or legible data to purchase this part fromother than the current source(s). The subject item requires Government sourceapproval prior to contract award, as the item is flight critical and/or thetechnical data available has not been determined adequate to support acquisitionvia full and open competition. Only the source(s) previously approved by theGovernment for this item have been solicited. The time required for approval ofa new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approvalof a new source. If you are not an approved source you must submit, togetherwith your proposal, the information detailed in one of the NAVSUP Weapon SystemsSupport (NAVSUP WSS) Source Approval Information Brochures listed below. Spares:www.neco.navy.mil/sar.aspx Repair: www.neco.navy.mil/sarr.aspx These brochuresidentify the technical data required to be submitted based on your company'sexperience in production of the same or similar item, or if this is an item youhave never made. If your request for source approval is currently beingevaluated at NAVSUP WSS submit with your offer a copy of the cover letter whichforwarded your request for source approval. Offers received which fail toprovide all data required by the Source Approval Brochure or document previoussubmission of all data required by the Source Approval Brochure will not beconsidered for award under this solicitation. Please note, if evaluation of asource approval request submitted hereunder cannot be processed in time and/orapproval requirements preclude the ability to obtain subject items in time tomeet Government requirements, award of the subject requirement may continuebased on Fleet support needs.
