- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Notice of Intent to Sole Source: Maintenance and Monitoring Agreement for the Datawatch System installed at 1310 L Street and 1099 14th Street, Washington, DC. The U.S. EPA intends to award on a sole source basis, under FAR Part 13 with Datawatch Systems, Inc. for a service contract for monitoring and maintenance of card reader security systems at EPA offices located at 1310 L Street NW and 1099 14th Street NW, Washington, DC. The contract is expected to be for one year. EPA has identified Datawatch as the only vendor who can meet the requirement due the urgency and due to the need to have a system technologically compatible with existing systems. Currently EPA has 33 Datawatch card readers installed at 1310 L Street NW and one card reader installed at 1099 14th Street NW by Datawatch which are also monitored and maintained under a maintenance agreement with Datawatch. This procurement will be fulfilled under FAR Part 13. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements by 12:00 pm, EST, October 11, 2011. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Sources wishing to be considered MUST submit documentation prior to the deadline stated above, in writing, to shih.benjamin@epa.gov. Telephone requests will not be honored.
