Description

The Government intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source contract to UnderSea Sensor Systems, Inc. 4578 East Park 30 Drive, Columbia City, IN 46725-8869 for 3,200-4,200 silver chloride - magnesium seawater sonobuoy batteries, USSI Part No. 54006A-801 manufactured in accordance with proprietary USSI drawings. These batteries will be used to replace the seawater batteries that are currently installed in USSI manufactured AN/SSQ-110A sonobuoys. The batteries will be required to be delivered to the Government by May 31, 2013. The estimated award date is March 2012. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement to the Government for further consideration. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement by 2:00PM Eastern Time, 22 Oct 2011. See numbered Note 22.
