- (1) Upgrade Lightning Protection System Building 2113. (Project Magnitude $25,000 - $100,000) SUMMARY STATEMENT OF WORK KRSM 112114 UPGRADE LPS BLDG 2113 The lightning protection system shall be installed by a LPI Certified Lightning Protection master installer/designer firm and the system shall be installed in accordance with NFPA 780 (latest edition) and AFM 91-201, (latest edition). The existing LPS system on the building shall be incorporated into the new system as much as possible. Contractor shall supply as-built drawings and 100 foot rolling sphere drawings that depict the system that is finally installed on each building, in accordance with AFM 91-201, 2008 edition. The lightning protection system on Building 2113 shall be upgraded to comply with AFM 81-201, 2011 edition. Contractor shall provide to the Project Manager a UL Letter of Finding upon completion of the job. One letter per building. The project is located within the MAMS II area, which is a munitions storage and test area, NO SMOKING EXCEPT IN DESIGNATED AREAS WILL BE TOLERATED. Contractor and his personnel will be escorted at all times by members of the user organization, namely the 309th. (2) Hill AFB, Utah Building 2113. (3) IFB will be issued on or about 21 October 2011. The response time for the IFB will be 30 days. (4) Plans will be posted to FedBizOpps. (5) IFBs should be submitted NLT 1400 MST on 21 November 2011. (6) This acquisition will be set-aside 100% for HUB Zone concerns.
