- PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE ANNOUNCEMENT TO ASCERTAIN WEBSITE ADDRESS TO DOWNLOAD PROJECT DOCUMENTS AND PROJECT DETAILS. Paper copies of the solicitation shall not be issued but electronic copies of the solicitation will be available to download on the National Business Center website (http://ideasec.nbc.gov) without further notice on or about October 21, 2011. This project consists of complete remodel of two apartment buildings, each containing five apartments, one mechanical room and one laundry room located at McFarland Hill, in Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine. Offeror shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to repair interior wall and ceiling cracks, prime and paint walls and ceilings, remove and replace vinyl flooring, remove and replace all carpet. A site visit will be necessary for accurate estimation of the conditions of this project; information for the site visit will be set forth in the project documents. Estimated construction range: $100,000 and $250,000. The intended contract will be a Total Small Business Set-Aside, Firm-Fixed Price Construction type subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. Work is to commence 14 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Construction performance period is 90 calendar days. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued. It is therefore the offeror's responsibility to check the internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation specifications and drawings. It is the responsibility of all offerors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation. No response to this notice is necessary and no source list will be maintained. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration, (CCR) system prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. It is recommended that your firm register immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. The announcement does not constitute the solicitation. NAICS code 236220, $33.5 Million.
