- This is not a Solicitation or request for proposal and no contract will be awarded from this notice. There is no Solicitation or drawings available at this time. Military Sealift Fleet Support Command intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a non-competitive basis (sole source) to Guam Industrial Services, Inc. (DBA Guam Shipyard) for the Regular Overhaul (ROH) of the USNS WALLY SCHIRRA (T-AKE 8) Solicitation No. 40442-12-R-3000. The period of performance is on or about 11 January 2012 through 22 February 2012. Major work items for the USNS SCHIRRA include: (1) WI 101 Roller Chock replacement; WI 201 MDG Fuel Oil Meter Replacement; WI 202 Fuel Isolation to MDG's; WI 203 MDG's No. 2 & 3 6K Hr Maintenance; WI 302 High Voltage Switchboard Cleaning; WI 501 RO Unit Installation; WI 502 Central Seawater System Spool Repairs; WI 503 LTFW Endplate Installation; WI 504 MSD Pump Modifications; WI 505 Cargo Crane Cooling Mods; WI 506 Replace Flight Deck Foam Sprinkling Piping; WI 510 Sea Water Pump SIMSITE & Bearing Isolator Install; WI 514 80% DFM 20% JP5 Tank Segregation; WI 602 MSD/CHT Tank Coatings; WI 604 PRC Installation; WI 801 Galley Exhaust Duct Cleaning & WI 802 Laundry Exhaust Duct Cleaning. These requirements are for MSRA shipyard. The estimated issue date for this solicitation is 21 October 2011. The NAICS code is 336611 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees.
