Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is issued as a request for quote (VA-257-12-Q-0010). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect the Federal Acquisition Register and the Veterans Administration Acquisition Regulation (VAAR). It is the contractor's responsibility to become familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-50, effective 15 April 2011. The government intends to award a firm fixed price contract subject to the provisions and clauses listed in the formal VA solicitation format following. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 17 located in Dallas TX Is Requesting the Following Items: Advisory and Assist contract between Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 17. Period of coverage is 11 October 2011 through 30 December 2011. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 17, has a need to procure multi-year support in the form of an organizational membership from an organization that provides assistance in addressing strategic issues, operational issues and management issues for health care organizations. A need exist for comprehensive performance improvement support that includes best practice research, consulting and training services, technology assessment, and business intelligence tools that will provide evidence-based solutions necessary to make informed business decision and provide a platform to identify and leverage emerging healthcare trends and technology. The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the services/deliverables described in the statement of work (SOW), except as may otherwise be specified. The strategic plan for VISN 17 involves capitalizing on contractor's expertise to promote VHA programs and initiatives to affect a positive progression and transformation. Performance Period: The period of performance for the contract resulting from this SOW is addressed in the below table. Work at the government site shall not take place on Federal holidays or weekends unless directed by the Contracting Officer.
