- This is a Sources Sought Announcement. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and does not serve to bind the U.S. Government in any way. Interested parties shall not be reimbursed for costs associated with preparation of their responses. The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Rock Island (ACC-RI) is conducting a Sources Sought Market Survey in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 to identify potential firms that have the skills, experience, knowledge, and capabilities required to perform the following potential requirement: Stevedoring and Related Terminal Services (S&RTS) to include associated Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) at the Port of Barbers Point, Island of O'ahu, Hawaii during the approximate dates of 19-23 December 2011. Vendor must be able to receive, stage and load the following cargo aboard an ocean-going vessel: ITEM Containers (various sizes mainly ISU, TRICON, ISO), quantity: 467 Trailers, quantity: 53 Vehicles (various types), quantity: 44 Helicopters(OH58), quantity: 24 Helicopters (UH-60), quantity: 28 Helicopters (CH-47), quantity: 7 NOTE: Military personnel will load aircraft listed above. Military drivers may be required to drive specialized pieces of military equipment aboard the vessel. Responses to this Sources Sought Announcement shall include: Capability to perform in the above location Timeline to become fully operational in the above locations Relevant history performing S&RTS functions This Sources Sought Announcement serves as Market Research only, not a firm commitment on the part of the U.S. Government nor does it constitute an order.
