- Mosquito Abatement Statement of Work, Joint Base Charleston SOURCES SOUGHT This Sources Sought is being issued for planning purposes only and it is not a solicitation or pre-solicitation. Responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. THE AIR FORCE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY COSTS INCURRED BY INTERESTED PARTIES IN RESPONDING TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT. The 628th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, SC is seeking contractors who are capable of providing the services according to the following paragraph: The Contractor shall provide Mosquito Control Services to JB Charleston, Naval Weapons Station, Charleston, SC. The Mosquito Control Service Provider shall provide all necessary management, supervision, labor, materials, and equipment to perform inspection (mosquito surveillance) by vehicle, helicopter or fixed wing airplane, or boat of the disposal marsh and other identified areas on the Naval Weapons Station. The contract shall assist the Command Entomologist (Government) in the oversight, quality assurance and safety of all mosquito control operations on the areas identified as directed in the Statement of Work. Contract is to run on a fiscal year basis commencing 1 October 2011 through 30 September 2012. A Fixed Price type contract is contemplated. AT A MINIMUM, THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS REQUIRED: (a) A positive statement of your intention to bid on this contract. (b) Business Size, Duns, Cage Code, Tax ID, and Point of Contact. (c) Capability Statement All of the above information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested businesses. Failure to submit all information requested may result in a contractor not being considered as an interested vendor. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561710 with a small business size standard of $7.0M. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on the Federal Business opportunities web page at http://www.fbo.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to visit this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. This is not a solicitation or pre-solicitation.
