- The NAVSUP Fleet and Logistics Center, San Diego, ContractingDepartment intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract on other than fulland open competition basis to Cepheid, 940 Caribbean Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94089. This requirement is toprovide Laboratory Instruments and Equipment - Test-Per Cost. It includepurchase of reagents/tests and a Cepheid GeneXpert analyser to tests andscreen patients at Naval Medical Center, San Diego for methicillin-resistantStaphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Clostridium difficile toxins, MRSA-SA Bloodculture, and Enterovirus. The applicable NAICS code is 325413, businesssize: 500 E. This requirement is expected to begin 17 October 2011 through30 September 2012 with four-one year option years. No solicitation exists. This notice of intent is not a request forcompetitive quotes; however, any interested contractor capable of providingthis requirement is invited to submit written notification to the ContractSpecialist within 8 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract willbe based upon the responses and is solely within the discretion of theGovernment.
