- Description
- The Senior Development Outreach and Communications Specialist (SDOCS) works with USAID/Kenya leadership and staff to formulate Mission-wide messages and implement development, outreach and communications efforts to increase awareness of USAID humanitarian and development assistance programs in Kenya. S/he reports to the Director in the USAID/Kenya Program Office but has extensive contact with the Deputy Mission Director and the Mission Director. S/he leads the Program Office’s development, outreach and communications team, which comprises an Eligible Family Member (EFM) Associate Communications Specialist, an EFM Web Manager, and one Foreign Service National (FSN) staff, rotating University interns, and specialized contract labor for photography, graphic design and editing. S/he collaborates with other USG agencies, the Government of Kenya; local governments; international institutions such as the United Nations and the World Bank; and a network of partners from non-governmental organizations, local community groups, and Kenyan citizens. The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), requests an application from qualified U.S. Citizens interested in providing PSC services as described in the attached solicitation. Submittals shall be in accordance with the attached information at the place and time specified in this document.
