- J&A 10-264 Post Award The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with the Boeing Company for the acquisition of Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) needed to upgrade the third I-Level Aircraft Engine Component Test Set (AECTS) that is currently used to test the F/A-18 C/D Generator Converter Units (GCUs). The following PSE items shall be provided: Qty one (1) 74D420503-1001 - Acft Generator/Rotor removal fixture; Qty one (1) 74D420505-1001 - Heating element, electrical (tube flange heater); Qty one (1) 74D420512-1003 - Tool Set, installation alignment (stub shaft removal/install); Qty one (1) 74D420513-1003 - Test Set, Electrical Power; Qty one (1) 74D420523-1001. THIS SYNOPSIS IS HEREBY MODIFIED. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ has a requirement for additional PSE needed to upgrade the third I-Level Aircraft Engine Component Test Set (AECTS) that is currently used to test the F/A-18 C/D Generator Converter Units (GCUs). The following PSE items shall be provided: Qty three (3) 74D420503-1001 - Acft Generator/Rotor removal fixture; Qty three (3) 74D420505-1001 - Heating element, electrical (tube flange heater); Qty three (3) 74D420512-1003 - Tool Set, installation alignment (stub shaft removal/install); Qty three (3) 74D420513-1003 - Test Set, Electrical Power; Qty three (3) 74D420523-1001. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own current data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ has a requirement to add an additional Option CLIN for: Qty four (4) 74D420503-1001 - Acft Generator/Rotor removal fixture; Qty four (4) 74D420505-1001 - Heating element, electrical (tube flange heater); Qty four (4) 74D420512-1003 - Tool Set, installation alignment (stub shaft removal/install); Qty four (4) 74D420513-1003 - Test Set, Electrical Power; Qty four (4) 74D420523-1001. THIS SYNOPSIS IS HEREBY MODIFIED. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ has a requirment to add an additional (7) Option CLINS for: Installation, Operation, and Verification (IO&V) for the PSE Test Sets.
