Description
The Space and Naval Warfare SystemsCommand (SPAWAR) in support of the Naval Enterprise Networks (NEN) Program Management Office is announcing the Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) Program Industry Day on October 28, 2011. This announcement is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request does not commit the Government to contract for any supplies or services whatsoever. Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this announcement; all costs associated with responding will be solely at the interested partys expense. Not responding to this announcement does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website and the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central website at https://e- commerce.spawar.navy.mil. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. General background information on the Next Generation Enterprise Network can be located at the publicly accessible website: http://www.public.navy.mil/spawar/PEOE IS/NEN/NGEN/Pages/NGENReferenceLibra ry.aspx. Information provided at Industry Day will contain Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services (HPES) Intellectual Property (IP) for which the government has acquired Government Purpose Rights (GPR) under Contract N00039-10-D- 0010. The GPR require any recipient of HPES IP to execute a Use and Non- Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in order to access NGEN Program documents or related information. In order to attend the Industry Day each company must have the fully executed GPR NDA on file with the NGEN Procurement Contracting Officer (PCO). Once the GPR NDA is signed by an individual who is authorized to sign on behalf of their company and returned to the Government via email to NGENNDA_NGENNDA@bah.com the appropriate access will be granted. *If the GPR NDA has already been executed for previous industry days or receipt of documents it is not necessary to submit another NDA. The Department of the Navy (DON) intends to host its sixth in a series of Industry Days in support of the NGEN Program. The purpose of this Industry Day will be to build upon the information previously made available to the public by providing additional details on the NGEN Program. The NGEN Industry Day will be held at the Amphitheater of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center located at 1300 Pennsylvania Ave Northwest, Washington, D.C. Check-in for registrants will be from 8:30am to 9:45am and Industry Day will begin promptly at 10:00am and end at 3:00pm. There will be a 1 hour intermission planned for 12:00pm for attendees to break for lunch at the Ronald Reagan Building food court. Industry day is open to all contractor, media and government personnel who have registered for the event and received a registration confirmation. All interested parties must register via: ngen_industryday@bah.com. Registrants must provide name (first and last), company, and email address. Registration will be open until 8am EST October 27, 2011 or until the number of registrants reaches 500 people. Due to limited seating, each contractor or government organization will be limited to 4 registrants on a first come basis. Registration will be verified prior to entrance. The Industry Day will conclude with a short question and answer period. Questions shall be submitted to NGEN Industry Day staff during the event using the question submission tear-out located in the back of the Industry Day program.
