- Description
- The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is announcing the award of a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to Alliant Techsystems, (ATK) Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Inc., with an award value of $9,588,740. Under this contract (HQ0147-11-C-0014), ATK will develop and test specific third stage rocket motor technologies of interest to the MDA. This contract represents part of the MDA's technology development strategy to improve performance and reduce risk for the Standard Missile-3 Block IIB. This contract was a competitively procured award and the work will be performed at the Elkton, Maryland from September 2011 through December 2012. The MDA, Huntsville, Alabama, is the contracting activity.
