Description: The Government intends to issue a sole source contract to Meggitt TrainingSystems under solicitation N00189-11-T-0562. This requirement is for theprocurement of 1 base year with 4 option years of FATS (Fire Arms TrainingSystem) warranty service for virtual military training, including one sitevisit. Delivery to Naval Surface Forces, Norfolk, VA 23511. Required byOctober 20, 2011. This requirement will be procured in accordance withSimplified Acquisition procedures. The NAICS code is 541512. Therequirement is for one base year and four options years. The Governmentintends to evaluate prices for clause FAR 52.217-8 in accordance with therequirement of FAR 5.205(f). This office will no longer issue a hard copyof the Request for Quote (RFQ); therefore, a copy can be obtained fromwebsite http://www.neco.navy.mil. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither therequestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currentlysuspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from anyfederal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing toaccept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledgesthe requirement that prospective awardees must be registered in the CCRdatabase prior to award, during performance, and through final payment ofany contract resulting from this RFQ, except for awards to foreign vendorsfor work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration inthe CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
