- Notice of intent to negotiate on a sole source basis. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center (FMC), Butner, North Carolina intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Varian Medical System, Marietta, Ga. This announcement constitutes the only notice of intent. A written notice will not be issued. The FMC intends to procure a service contract to maintain the Aria and Eclipse hardware and software manufactured by Varian Medical System. This system has proprietary software and hardware that only the manufacturer can supply. This will be for a multiple fiscal years for the period 2012, 2013, and 2014.
