- Description
- Construction Project. This project was previously synopsized under Solicitation Number W912EF-11-B-0008. The project consists of removing and disposing of the existing T6 transformer and installing one new 115kV three-phase transformer (purchased under a separate contract) at Ice Harbor Dam. Work will include the following: ELECTRICAL: Removal of existing transformer at Bank T6; Removal of electrical components supporting the existing transformer; New transformer low-voltage connections, high voltage connections, high voltage neutral connections, external wiring/cabling interconnections, conduit, cable routing, and switchboard panel interconnection details, alarm and annunciation interface, and GDACS interface; Interconnection of online monitoring system and digital temperature monitoring system; Modification of the high voltage bus connections; Installation of electrical components for support of the new transformer; MECHANICAL: Removal of existing deluge system in transformer vault to allow removal of existing transformer; Minor modifications to the existing deluge system for new transformer; Removal of oil from the existing transformer; Modification of the high voltage bus. STRUCTURAL: Install new seismic/anchoring system for the new transformer; and Oil retention curbing and transformer vault wall repair for the new transformer. See solicitation for details on completion time. The government may decide to retain the existing transformer as a spare. If so, the work will also include the following: Moving the existing transformer to a storage and containment concrete pad (to be constructed by others) located adjacent to the Runner Storage Building, downstream from the dam; Processing and cleaning the oil removed from the existing transformer; Refilling the relocated existing transformer with the processed oil; Installing electrical components for support of the existing transformer at the storage location; Performing oil handling and spill prevention measures for the existing transformer; Installing new seismic/anchoring system for the existing transformer at the storage location; Work site is Ice Harbor Lock and Dam, located near Burbank, Washington. Invitation for Bids No. W912EF-12-B-0002 will be posted to the FBO website on or about 22 October 2011. Bids will be due no sooner than 30 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date. Anticipated bid opening date is 22 November 2011. Important Note: The FedBizOpps Response Date listed elsewhere in this synopsis is for FedBizOpps archive purposes only.
